Founded in 1917 on the campus of Oberlin College, the Allen Memorial Art Museum (AMAM) is one of the finest academic art museums in the country with a wide-ranging collection of more than 15,000 works. This virtual exhibition presents highlights from the AMAM's rich holdings of European drawings before 1900, spanning key works acquired early in the museum's history to recent acquisitions that further broaden the collection's scope. Featured artists include Filippino Lippi, Federico Zuccaro, Giovanna Garzoni, Il Guercino, Jean-Honoré Fragonard, Giovanni Domenico Tiepolo, Jean-Auguste-Dominique Ingres, George Sand, Paul Cézanne, and Gustav Klimt.
