The annual Master Drawings Journal Symposium returns with two fascinating live presentations. Alexander McCargar (winner, 2022) will use his expertise in stage design to discuss the originality of eighteenth-century Italian scenographer Pietro Righini, whose work has long been confused with that of the renowned Bibiena family. Thea Goldring (winner, 2023) will reveal her discovery of two previously unknown caches of over 100 natural history drawings by the eighteenth-century French draftsman Carême de Fécamp, placing them in context of developments in art and science during the Enlightenment.
