Exhibition Title
Romantic Landscape and the Picturesque Imagination
Exhibition Description
Landscape painting has long held a marked appeal for the English and this selection of works on paper from the 18th and 19th centuries examines the world of the imagination of artists influenced by the picturesque movement and the progression into the romanticism of the 19th century.
The influence of Italy, which was crucial to so many artists of this period, is well represented.
